Andrew Bloxam (22 September 1801 – 2 February 1878) was an English clergyman and naturalist; in his later life he had a particular interest in botany. He was the naturalist on board HMS Blonde during its voyage around South America and the Pacific in 1824–26, where he collected mainly birds. Later as a Church of England minister he lived in Warwickshire and Leicestershire and made significant contributions to the study of the natural history of the area. His special interest was in fungi and the genera Rubus and Rosa. His botanical author abbreviation is "A.Bloxam".

  • Andrew Bloxam (Rugby, 22 settembre 1813 – Harborough Magna, 2 febbraio 1878) è stato un botanico, naturalista e prete britannico.Era un sacerdote anglicano, che nella seconda parte della sua vita sviluppò un grande interesse per la botanica. Fu il naturalista ufficiale del viaggio della HMS Blonde, una fregata a vela di circa 1100 ton, che compì un importante viaggio a scopi scientifici fra il 1824 ed il 1826, su una rotta che puntava su Capo Horn, risaliva il continente americano nel Pacifico fino alle isole Hawaii per poi rientrare lungo una rotta non molto diversa, in Inghilterra. Nel corso di questo viaggio Bloxam raccolse una gran quantità di esemplari di fauna avicola. Di suo principale interesse nello studio della botanica furono il genere Rubus e la Rosa, oltre che i funghi.

Blonde", entre 1824 a 1825, y con la bandera del Reino Unido, bajo el mando del capitán Lord , y con James Macrae, recorrió Sudamérica, las islas Sandwich. Su hermano, Richard Rowland Bloxam, fue con la expedición como capellán. En sus últimos años tuvo un especial interés en la botánica. La mayoría de sus colecciones, de los viajes, finalmente se hallan en el Museo Británico.
