Naval tactics and doctrine is the collective name for methods of engaging and defeating an enemy ship or fleet in battle at sea during naval warfare, the naval equivalent of military tactics on land. Naval tactics are distinct from naval strategy. Naval tactics are concerned with the movements a commander makes in battle, typically in the presence of the enemy. Naval strategy concerns the overall strategy for achieving victory and the large movements by which a commandant or commander secures the advantage of fighting at a place convenient to himself.

  • La tattica navale è un insieme di comportamenti che vengono messi in atto nel corso di combattimenti fra navi da guerra. Essa è l'equivalente della tattica militare nei combattimenti di terra. La tattica navale militare è diversa dalla strategia. La tattica concerne i movimenti che il comandante compie nel corso di una battaglia in presenza di un nemico. La strategia, invece, riguarda le iniziative che vengono messe in atto per conseguire una vittoria ed i movimenti tramite i quali un comandante si assicura il vantaggio di combattere nel posto più confacente alla propria flotta.

  • التكتيكات البحرية مصطلح يشمل طرق الاشتباك مع سفينة أو أسطول للعدو وهزيمته، وذلك في معركة بالبحر خلال حرب بحرية، وهي ما يعادل التكتيكات العسكرية على الأرض. و تختلف التكتيكات البحرية عن الاستراتيجية البحرية. فالتكتيكات البحرية هي المعنية بالحركات التي يتخذها القائد في المعركة، وعادة في وجود العدو. أما الإستراتيجية البحرية فتهتم بالإستراتيجية العامة لتحقيق النصر، وتُعنى بالحركات الأضخم والتي يؤمِّن بها القائد والقيادة توفير مزايا القتال في الموقع المناسب.
