| - British folk rock bassist, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, bandleader and producer.Born : January 26, 1945 in Southgate, Middlesex, England.Hutchings was a founding member (1968) of the legendary %22Fairport Convention%22 with which he remained until the release of their fourth album %22Lieg and Lief%22 (1969) after he left Fairport to found (1970) the %22Steeleye Span%22, another folk group English rock destined to write the musical history of the British electric folk, abandoned even the %22Steeleye Span%22 Hutchings formed the %22Albion Country Band%22 which released the album %22No Roses%22 in 1971.In 1972, Ashley attended (with some musicians of Albion and Fairport) the registration of the seminal album %22Morris On%22.
