  • Andy Toth aka Dr Toefinger was part of the group for the first album %22Funk All Y' All%22 but left after its release. He also co-produced %22The Clapper%22 & %22Big Onion%22.Today’s Detroit Grand Pubahs consist of Paris, his alter egos and the Mysterious Mr O.The original Pubahs started out on Brian Gillespie’s indie ‘Throw’ label, releasing the underground club hit ‘Sandwiches’. This was then later picked up by Jive Electro. and soon became an underground classic worldwide.Their debut LP, “Funk All Y’all,” a mixture of funk, techno and a healthy dose of the bizarre was a call to arms for techno get down like a sex machine whilst the second long player, ‘Galactic Ass Creatures From Uranus’ on Steve Bug’s Poker Flat imprint.The Pubahs now also run their own label, Det.Ele.Funk (or to give it its full title ‘Detroit Electro Funk’).

  • The Detroit Grand Pubahs are an American musical group from Detroit, Michigan, comprising Paris the Black Fu (real name Mack Goudy, Jr.) and The Mysterious Mr O. (real name Oliver Way). One of the founding members, Dr. Toefinger (real name Andy Toth), left in 2004. They are best known for their 2000 single %22Sandwiches%22, which reached number 29 in the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.The group were nominated for %22Outstanding Funk Artist / Group%22 at the Detroit Music Awards in 2002. Rolling Stone called them %22a group to watch..... this dynamic duo never ceases to amaze with creative use of found sound, foreboding vocals, and bizarre costumes%22. The group run their own record label, Detelefunk, on which they release their own music and that of other artists.
