| - American rock band from Palm Desert, California, formed by Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme in 1998.According to Jesse Hughes the name of this band originated from a tour the guys were on, before starting EODM, and the driver used to only listen to death metal. One day, the driver was playing some tunes, and one of the guys on the bus said: %22This isn't death metal, this is, like, the [a255680] of death metal!%22 Upon waking up the next day the boys started wondering what that would actually sound like, and the rest is Eagle Of Death Metal-history.The guys gave themselves other names in this band, Jesse Hughes is Jesse %22The Devil%22 Hughes, Josh Homme is [a996925] (or [a1291272]) and Tim Vanhamel is Timmy Tipover VanHamel.The band's concert at Le Bataclan in Paris on 13 November 2015 was one of the eight targets for a series of terrorist attacks. While the band was playing on stage three terrorists started shooting and bombing the crowd and at least 89 people were killed. The band members escaped the attack. Deftones was also on the site, they were to play in the same venue for three days from 14 to 16 November. They escaped too.

| - Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States, formed in 1998 by Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, who are the only permanent members of the band, though Homme rarely plays live shows because of commitments to other bands. There are also a wide range of other musicians that play under the Eagles of Death Metal moniker, both on the albums and in live shows, frequently under humorous aliases.Despite their band name, Eagles of Death Metal is not a death metal band. Hughes stated that a friend was introducing Josh Homme to the death metal genre. When he played a song by the Polish band Vader and made a claim that the song was within the death metal genre, Homme then referred to Vader as %22The Eagles of Death Metal%22. After hearing this phrase, he wondered what a cross between the Eagles and a death metal band would sound like. In a 2003 interview Homme described the sound of the band as a combination of %22bluegrass slide guitar mixed with stripper drum beats and Canned Heat vocals.%22Jesse Hughes is known for his enthusiastic interaction with audiences at live performances.
