The band is composed of vocalist Jesse Rutherford (21 August 1991), guitarists Jeremy Freedman (2 July 1993) and Zach Abels (3 July 1992), bassist Mikey Margott (3 October 1993) and drummer Brandon Fried. The band originated in Newbury Park, California. After releasing two EPs, I'm Sorry... and Thank You, The Neighbourhood released their first full-length album, I Love You., on April 23, 2013, via Columbia Records. On January 16, 2014, the band revealed via social media that drummer Bryan Sammis was leaving the band.In November of 2014 they released a mixtape titled %22#000000 & #FFFFFF%22. #000000 & #FFFFFF%22 is hosted by DJ Drama, features a nice blend of hip-hop and rock, and features guest appearances by YG, Dej Loaf, French Montana, Danny Seth and more. August 20, 2015, the band announced the release of their second album Wiped Out! with the lead single R.I.P. 2 My Youth.
