The song also reached No. 4 on the Billboard easy listening chart. The B-side of the %22Jazzman%22 single was %22You Go Your Way, I'll Go Mine.%22The song was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1975 in the category Best Female Pop Vocal performance, losing out to Olivia Newton-John's song %22I Honestly Love You%22.A version of the song was prominently featured in the Simpsons episode %22'Round Springfield%22, in which Lisa Simpson sings the vocals while her friend Bleeding Gums Murphy plays the saxophone.Bonnie Koloc also recorded a song called %22Jazzman%22 on her album After All This Time in 1971.
