Una carta tematica è un tipo di carta geografica che fornisce informazioni su uno o più aspetti del territorio rappresentato, utilizzando opportuni simboli e colori in modo da permettere una visione d'insieme immediata e georeferenziata di ciò che si vuole descrivere.
