John G. Perry (born 19 January 1947 in Auburn, New York) is a British bass guitarist and singer. He was born in US to British parents and when he was young, the family moved back to England. From 1973 to 1974 he was a member of Caravan, with whom he recorded one studio album For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night (1973), and one live album Caravan and the New Symphonia (1974). He also appears on the 1998 live compilation album Songs for Oblivion Fishermen.In 1976 he released his first solo album entitled Sunset Wading. Later, he collaborated with many other artists, including Gordon Giltrap, Anthony Phillips, Kevin Ayers, Soft Machine and Curved Air. He was also a member of 1970s British band Quantum Jump.
