Martha (Hebrew: מָרְתָא‎) is a biblical figure described in the Gospels of Luke and John. Together with her siblings Lazarus and Mary of Bethany, she is described as living in the village of Bethany near Jerusalem. She was witness to Jesus resurrecting her brother, Lazarus.

  • Martha von Bethanien (auch Marta von Betanien) ist eine Gestalt des Neuen Testaments. Erwähnt wird Martha im 10. Kapitel des Lukasevangeliums sowie im 11. und 12. Kapitel des Johannesevangeliums. Die Darstellungen in den beiden biblischen Erzählungen zeigen Gemeinsamkeiten, aber auch deutliche Unterschiede.

Zij wordt alleen vermeld in Lucas 10:38-42, en in Johannes 11 en 12.
