| - 1000 Homo DJs was a Ministry side-project taht featured Jello Biafra and Trent Reznor. According to legend, the name was suggested by Wax Trax! Records co-founder Jim Nash who, addressing Al Jourgensen's concern over a remix, reassured Jourgensen that only %22a thousand homo DJs would hear it%22 and the name stuck.Their first single, [r=35465] (1988), contains %22Apathy%22 and %22Better Ways%22, which were both originally intended for Ministry's The Land of Rape and Honey, but rejected for not fitting in with the more aggressive sound of album. Their second single, [r=153407] (1990), contains %22Supernaut%22 (a Black Sabbath cover) and %22Hey Asshole%22, which were both recorded specifically for the project. The cover art closely resembles Black Sabbath's Master of Reality. The CD release of [r=50512] combines the two singles.%22Supernaut%22 could not be released with Trent Reznor's vocals, due to legal problems with Reznor's label TVT Records. The story goes that Al distorted the vocals and claimed them as his own, although he, himself, has signaled that they are actually his own vocals. Years later, the original version was released on the Wax Trax! Black Box compilation.
